We were very happy to supply the fasteners for this fantastic 1977 Crossle 33F Formula Ford 2 Litre racing car.

The car is to be driven by Tom White, aged 16, and is eligible for the Historic FF2000 Championship.

Here’s another example of our in-house special fastener manufacturing capabilities, which shows that not all our fasteners are threaded.

These 106mm x 220mm drilled pins were produced using a CNC machine in our onsite machine shop.

The above picture shows the pin inside our CNC machine during the manufacturing process.  A hole is then drilled into the pin to accommodate an R Clip.  These fasteners were produced for a customer in the Excavation industry.

We’d like to congratulate Thomas Smith Fasteners Warehouse Supervisor John Lee, who recently completed the Tatton Park Triathlon and won the over-40 category, finishing 8th overall out of 749 finishers.

John is a member of Astley and Tyldesley Road Runners and Tri Club, who we are proud to sponsor.

John’s build up involved 10 weeks of training and the event involved a 750 open water swim, 19km bike ride, and a 5km run to finish.   John’s finishing time for the whole event was 1hr 7min 59 secs.
