Our Customer base is large and is located in the UK, EU, Middle and Far East, the Americas and Australasia.
Most markets that use industrial fasteners, bolts, nuts, screws, washers and nuts are within our existing customer & supply base.
The Oil and Gas Industries have been important market sectors for bolting in the UK for a number of decades. The Nuclear Sector thrived with new builds in the third quarter of the twentieth century but then became unfashionable.
However, following the concern with Global Warming and a rising demand for electricity the UK Government has sanctioned Nuclear as the way forward to provide maximum supply from a new generation of sites. Wind and Wave power is being utilized to capture the natural resource that we have available on and around our island. Planners are being sympathetic in granting planning permission for these projects. All of these sectors are increasingly important customers and prospects for us.
Engineering has for many years been one of the most important users of British Made Fasteners. But the decline of the UK Engineering industry since the 1980s also mirrors the fortunes of the UK Fastener manufacturing base with most of the high volume bolt manufacturers being forced to close.
Today, in the second decade of the twenty-first decade both the Engineering Base and the Bolt Manufacturers are both leaner and fitter.
We are pleased that Engineering Companies remain an important part of our customer base.
The demand from the Construction Industry mirrors the fortunes of the country's performance. This industry is a significant user of Industrial Fasteners but demand has slackened dramatically since the boom days leading up to the 2009 Global Financial Crash.
