Gary Stevens - Business Manager

Gary Stevens joined the former Thomas Smith & Sons back in 1993 as a YTS working in the Despatch office before joining Garton International in 1997.
During this time he has sold products all over the world, has a wealth of knowledge of export markets and has sold in all sectors.
In 2002 Gary joined the Thomas Smith Fasteners team as Business Manager. During this time, with the help of his team, he has helped Thomas Smith Fasteners become one of the leading UK Distributors.
Outside work Gary is married to Emma and has a daughter named Annabel. He is also well known throughout the North West as captain of Astley & Tyldesley Road Runners who are an up and coming running club.

Stuart Briscoe - Business Development Manager

Stuart Briscoe joined Thomas Smith Fasteners in 2002 as Business Development Manager. Stuart has worked in the Fastener trade for nearly 40 years - he's forgotten more about bolts and nuts than most of us will ever know! - and brings an invaluable amount of knowledge to the Company.
In the relatively short time Stuart has been employed by us he has been involved in bringing a number of Blue Chip organisations and Kan Ban systems. Stuart has assisted with diversifying our range - he takes pride in Thomas Smith Fasteners being a 'one stop shop' with no need for customers to try elsewhere.
Outside work Stuart is married to Gwen and has 2 children - David and Gemma. He is a Season TIcket holder at Manchester City (please don't hold this against him!) and is also a keen fisherman.

John Lee - Stores Manager

John Lee started working as a Warehouse Apprentice at Bullough Fasteners back in 1983. After the merger of Bullough Fasteners and Thomas Smith & Sons in 1998 John was employed in Thomas Smith Fasteners' Warehouse.
During his time with us John has been instrumental in setting up many Kan Ban systems and Lineside feeds. His knowledge of the Fastener industry is vast and he now works mainly dealing with the public at our Trade Counter. John supervises his well-oiled team of staff to provide a quick and professional turnaround of customer orders.
Outside work John is a keep fit fanatic - he, like Gary, is a member of Astley and Tyldesley Road Runners and is one of the top veteran runners around. He is also a keen cyclist and swimmer. John also has an interest in photography and is responsible for many of the pictures seen on this website.
