Yet another happy customer!

We’ve just received another nice email message from a customer in the US complimenting us on our service!

‘Hi sales & shipping departments-

WOW! Things often don’t arrive this quickly from suppliers 100 miles away.
Couldn’t find Whitworth bolts anywhere in the US, in fact had not ever heard
of them until I needed two for the power feeder in our cabinet shop.

Thanks for the speedy service!’

We take great pride in providing excellent service to our customers, and always strive to improve. It’s great to be appreciated!

Another Satisfied Customer!

It’s always nice to hear good customer feedback. We think we’re quite good at keeping our valued customers happy, and maintaining great service is crucial to us – without you we’d be nowhere, after all.

Here’s a piece of feedback that has landed in our inbox:

‘Hi,

Just to say I received my order today and I’m very happy with the products, costs and service. I only ordered the bolts on Sunday evening !

I’l be using you again for sure and recommending you to friends and colleagues.
Also, nice website, unfussy, great functionality!’

High praise indeed!

Where do BSF nuts go?

Has anyone been cruising the Med on their yacht recently?

No? Well truth be told neither have we, but recently TSF Glasgow supplied ¾ BSF nuts to Arrowhead Products in the USA for “The Blue Guitar” the yacht formerly owned by Eric Clapton!

The yacht, British made, required the hard to find BSF thread for repairs inside the cabin and being unable to source in the USA we were able to  save the day and supply from our huge stocks of BSW/BSF threads.

We keep the largest stocks of Imperial British Threads in the UK so large or small (famous connection or not!) we are waiting for your SOS!

On a recent visit to Australia, our Business Development Manager Stuart Briscoe obtained orders for imperial nuts and bolts for an Australian power station.  This follows on from our recent orders from Australian classic car restorers for BA and BSF fasteners.

The order included stainless steel and high tensile imperial threadform fasteners.

We hold the UK’s largest stocks of BSW, BSF, BA, UNC and UNF fasteners and now export to more than 35 countries around the world.

Supporting Farmers

A Cheshire farmer urgently needed high tensile bolts to complete the assembly of a new front load unit onto his tractor.

One quick call to our sales team, and four UNC grade 10.9 zinc plated bolts and suitable locking nuts were available ex-stock and delivered to the farm the same day.

Thomas Smith Fasteners exports to Egypt

On Monday 10th January,  former Wigan resident Robert Elder contacted Gary Stevens in sales requiring some special M30 x 220 12 PT Bolts for one of the large diggers at the Pharaoh Gold Mine in Alexandria, Egypt.

This product, which will be a special hot forging job, is our first ever order to Egypt.

Mr Elder was so impressed with the quick response he sent the below email thanking us:

“Operating in the desert in Egypt is hard enough, finding someone who knows what they are talking about when it comes to hardware is even more difficult. We were suffering problems with the bottom track roller bolts breaking on our 200ton excavators. I needed a solution fast. I contacted Gary at Thomas Smith with my requirements and he responded the same day (not the same year which is more the norm over here) with the solution I needed.”

“I would like to thank Gary and all the team for their help.

Cheers

Robert”

Thank you for your valued custom Robert, and if anyone reading this should have any fastener requirements, large or small, please do not hesitate to contact us and you can be assured of a simlarly rapid response.
